The only Spanish actor forming part of the Official Section Jury this year, Jose Coronado has had three films screened at the Festival in previous years but claims that this year he’s really enjoying himself.“As a juror I’m much more relaxed; when an actor comes to present something he is always nervous about whether people will like it or not. This year I’m not under pressure like that and in any case, what could be more pleasant for an actor than watching three films a day?
He says that what he really looks for in a film is to be surprised and entertained be-cause cinema has to entertain you: “films that have a deep message but which don’t entertain me are no good to me. First we need to entertain people and then we need to surprise them.”
