Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
The Bulgarian director,Dragomir Sholev, accompanied by two actors, two scriptwriters and the producer, presented his film Podslon in Zabaltegi yesterday. He thanked the Festival for inviting him and confessed that they were all really excited about the presentation as this was the first time the film had been screened in a cinema. He based the film on life and on his own experiences and stressed how they rehearsed the script a lot before shooting: first around a table and then on the set. This meant that shooting was really easy for the actors, although the director claims he ended up totally shattered. They made the film in 5 weeks and nearly always finished before lunch,so the cast and crew were really happy.
To make the film really realistic Sholev also tried to create an atmosphere on set when they didn’t know whether they were shooting or not.
