Day by day factory worker Guido Kurz works hard to assure his litte daugther a better future. In times of economic crisis, he feels the incresingly bitter and harsh mood in his comany. One day he accidentally makes an error during work. as he has fear to lose is job, he tries to hide this in front of the shift supervisor.
David, a colleague of Guido, is falsely suspected to be responsible for the error and is abour to be fired. Guido could save him by saying the truth. being caught between his moral principles and his sense of responsibility towards his family, he is forced to take a decision: He testifies that David made the error.
When guido and David meet some time later again by chance, Guido must face the consequences of his decision.
