Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
The Colombian director, Ciro Guerra won the Films in Progress Award back in 2003 for his first full-length film La sombra del caminante and is now back in San Sebastián to present Los viajes del viento which portrays the last trip that a veteran travelling minstrel goes on to return his accordion to his old teacher in the North of Colombia. It has been shown at Cannes and has already been released in Colombia where it has been seen by more than 200,000 people.
The director claimed that, “my film isn’t a musical even though music plays a vital role in it and forms its thread”.
