Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).

Zinemara-Basque Film Showcase is the title of a new section devoted to the best films made by Basques over the last year. It has grown out of the Basque Cinema Day, which was previously restricted to a single screening of each film.
Organised by the Festival and the Basque Government of Culture and sponsored by Basque public television, it will also include the first screening of the Kimuak catalogue of the best Basque shorts of the year.
Director Imanol Uribe will receive the Zinemara Award that is presented each year to celebrate the career of a Basque film personality in a special ceremony at the Basque Film Gala.
