Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
The Argentinians directors Martín Carranza and Victoria Galardí are in San Sebastián to present Amorosa Soledad , which they describe as,”a dramatic comedy, which makes the audience laugh more for the pitiful nature of the situations that the main character finds herself in, not because there are gags,” the former points out. It’s not a comedy that tries to be funny; what is happening is really happening and the main character really does suffer,” Galardí adds, who has not only co-directed the film but has also written the script.
The leading character in the film is Soledad, a girl who has been dumped by her boyfriend. From this moment on, she decides to stay single for the next two or three years in order to avoid suffering another letdown in love. However, Soledad, who is a chronic hypochondriac, meets a man who she unexpectedly really hits it off with., which forces her to make a decision. Carranza says that, “Soledad is a hypochondriac, and things don’t turn as she expects them to; she makes a decision and then does the exact opposite. There are a lot of people who will be able to identify with her character".
