The Argentine director Pablo Trapero introduced his film Leonera to an enthusiastic audience yesterday at the Kursaal. It’s a prison drama set in Buenos Aires and is one of the favourites in the Latin Horizons section. Accompanied by his wife and the star of the film, the actress Martina Gusman, he recalled that they really enjoyed shooting and it’s a film that they really loved. The storyline, according to what the director said in the discussion that followed the screening of the film was not based on a single story, but on various true stories, which were the starting point for the script and enabled the actors to develop their characters.
