Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
A specialist in classic cinema, Melanie Tebb initiated her relationship with the medium at the British Film Institute with the Distribution Department, where she participated in different projects, among others the restoration of several films by Powell and Pressburger, the acquisition of Russian silent film titles and the start of the Piper-Heidsieck Classic Film Collection.
For the last eight years she has been a member of the team at the classic movie distributor Hollywood Classics as head of screening in cinemas outside of the USA. Hollywood Classics works in close collaboration with most of the big Hollywood production companies, ensuring that the titles from its golden age stay alive on the screens of contemporary film theatres. Her job makes it possible to maintain close links with film archives, festivals and distributors in the endeavour to achieve the biggest possible audiences for the film classics presented in new copies and restored versions.
