Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
This Colombian film critic lives and works in Medellin. Holder of a PhD in Law, he combines his work as a lawyer with film criticism and essay. He took an interest in cinema from a very young age. At the age of 20 he was secretary of the Medellin Cine Club becoming its director three years later. A lecturer on Film at Antioquia University, he regularly writes in various Colombian and Latin American publications. Member of the Executive Committee of the Revista Cuadro, he also collaborates on the Cine and Cinemateca reviews. He is currently a critic with the El Colombiano newspaper and one of the permanent signatures of the Kinetoscopio magazine, the only publication specialising in cinema in Colombia.
His passion for music led him to publish two specialised books: “Que nunca llegue la hora del olvido” (1986), on the subject of bolero, and “La música que es como la vida” (1990), on traditional music. He plans to publish a book containing a collection of his criticisms entitled “Escrito en el viento” towards the end of 2005.
