Western Front Christmas 1914: The troops of the German Reich are facing the enemy Armies in relentless positional war against. Horror reigns in the trenches. On both sides the soldiers are tired of murder. A German company waits in vain for supplies to be replenished. So as not to spend Christmas starving they want to swap their cigarettes with the French for something to eat. They hit take a ceasefire, lay down their arms and face the enemy in no man's land. A miracle happens in the most godforsaken place on earth - soldiers from rival nations celebrate Christmas together in the death strip.
