Cleopatra, the Queen of Egypt, decides, in defiance of Roman Emperor Julius Caesar, to build a sumptious palace in the middle of the desert, and in only three months. If she succeeds, Caesar will have to publicly recognize that the Egyptian people is the greatest of all peoples. Cleopatra therefore orders that the snappy, state-of-the-art architect Numerobis be called. If he gets the palace up in time, she'll cover him in gold; if not, she'll throw him to the crocs. Numerobis, aware of the stakes, seeks the help of his old friend Panoramix, who comes to Egypt with Asterix and Obelix. Together, they have to deal with Amonbofis, Cleopatra's official architect, who is jealous because the Queen has chosen Numerobis and is ready to do what it takes to ensure that the project fails.

One of the most singular and comprehensive projects ever undertaken in the field of documentary filmmaking, Deep Blue presents images of the world's oceans gathered over years of filming, plunging the audience into the spectacle of the seas and taking it on a journey from the shallowest coral reefs to the barren shores of the Antartic, and from the vast stretches of the open ocean to the nocturnal landscapes of the ocean's deepest chasms. Oceans are the last frontier of our planet and Deep Blue, based on the BBC's The Blue Planet, is the definitive exploration of that frontier.
