Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
Basque author and screenwriter, born in San Sebastian in 1957. Graduate in Contemporary Art History. PhD in screenwriting. Joxean Muñoz was editor of the cultural review, “Oh! Euzkadi”, published two collections of poems (“Parentesiak etab.”, 1984; “Begien bizkar”, 1991) and collaborates in reviews and newspapers as a feature writer and columnist. He collaborated on the screenplay for the animated film Balearenak-La Leyenda del Viento del Norte (1989). Backing of the European Script Fund permitted him to write the screenplay for Menos que cero, a real image feature film directed by Ernesto Tellería (1997). He co-wrote and co-directed (together with Txabi Basterretxea) Karramarro Uhartea-La Isla del Cangrejo, winner of the Goya for Best Animation Film in 2000. He is currently working on yet another animated feature film.
He has written scripts for TV, comics and children’s tales. In recent years, his main activity has focused on the conception and design of exhibitions with the firm Tipula. Having designed and produced the travelling exhibition organized in the Basque Country to celebrate the centenary of comics (“Komikiak 100”),Tipula went on to design the exhibition bringing the millennium to a close in San Sebastian (“Atarian”). In recent years, the company has organized exhibitions on the work of artists like Olariaga, Iván Zulueta, Isabel Azkarate, J.M. Zabala, Gabriel Celaya, Nestor Basterretxea or Jon Zabalo "Txiki".
