Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
Defeated after a thirty-year struggle with US immigration agents, "El Pachuco" returns to his hometown, only to find that some of his friends are dead anthe ones who are left, such as the faithful Chavita, have handed their sould over to tequila. This is the eve of All Saint's Day, the most deeply rooted festival in Mexico. "El Pachuco" and Chavita wind up in the squalid local jailhouse with a bunch of characters (a truck driver, a gringo tourist, the village idiot, a frustrated rock n' roller) who are pieces in the puzzel of a Mexico steeped in tradition, corruption and machismo.
