Comprises a series of episodes of war at the front and in the rear, linked together by the movements of the characters. A group of farmers from Aragon attempts to organize a defense against the advance of the nationalist troops. Some figthers escape from a village and undertake the job of transporting some dynamite guarded by other Republican aviation camp in order to report the location of some of Franco's planes. A plan to destroy them is developed and a mission launched, but one of the Republican bombers is hit and his plane crashes into the Sierra de Teruel. Some soldiers reach the site of the crash to recover the bodies and bury them with honors.
