Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
The neighborhood of Miraflores, constructed in 1962 with the labor of those who would occupy it, was the result of a massive effort shortly after the revolution to erradicate de coutry's slums. These neighborhoods were home to the majority of the previously marginalized sectors of the Cuban population. The film employs both professional actors and real characters to enact a plot that combines several styles - the documental, the analitical, and the fictional- to reveal a conflict between old customs attempting to mantain their influence and a new concept of life.
