Angela DeMarco is fed up and wants to change her way of life. When her husband is murdered (by a paid killer), she escapes to Long Island, leaving blood-stained money behind her.
On the south-east side of Manhattan she tries to start a new life, but it is not easy to get away from relatives and money, and Angela is being pursued as much by the "Family" as by the Federal Agents.
