Paulo, 18 years old, was born in Chile, but lives with his parents in Rio de Janeiro. Apart from going through the normal upheads of adolscence, he lives a normal life, including dating girls, drawing and painting.
Santiago, 1973. a military coup overthrows allende's goverment and a dictatorship is established. Paulo, 6 at the time, is witness to his brother Victor's arrest. Victor's body is returned to the family some days later.
Rio de Janeiro, 1985. The arrival of his Chilean cousin stimulates Paulo into reliving scenes and having dreams of his childhood in that country. His desire to return comes obsessive.
