The authorities do not want to take any notice of officer Ripley's story that a terrible race of Aliens exist in a colonized planet. However once all contact with the colony is lost Ripley is asked to join a company of marines ready to depart on a research mission. On arrival they only find one survivor: a girl. everybody else has dissapeared.
