Pedro is twelve years old. He has a dog called Rocky and a grown-up friend, Gustavo, who repairs cars. He even has a girlfriend, Matilde... or he thinks he has, because she wants him to kiss her.
Pedro loves asking questions and this has become a dangerous thing to do in his village, especially after Daniel's father and Professor Pedroza are arrested and the Army orders the children to write a composition on "What My Family Does at Night".
Angered by the death of his dog, Pedro and his friends decide to take matters into their own hands.
