It is the love story of two drug addicts. Paolo and María have decided to break their ties with heroin, they cannot resign themselves to not being able to establish a daily story of that love together, despite being surrounded by syringes and suffering "the monkey". After desperately seeking to stay together, Paolo and Maria are separated in the cruelest way imaginable: death. Paolo, indeed, unable to overcome the drug, decides to commit suicide. María is left alone in the middle of the film but then she already has decided; she is going to live, with him or without him.
