In 1934, a Government civil servant comes to a village, to carry out the distribution of the land. He will have to confront the big landowners and the ignorance of the natives, bound by religious habits. "La Alazana" eventually becomes the lover of the village local ruler, in order to help her husband. Yet, everything will lead to a cruel disaster.
