Lászlo is a young man who lives in Budapest. One morning he goes to an office to pay a cheque, but he changes his mind and decides to keep the money. During the whole day, he will spend it on the most different things. His meeting with an old schoolmate brings up memories of past times. In the evening, he goes to the police station.
