Poland, beginnings of the century. Yasha, a witty magician with elegant manners, dreamer and womanizer, tours villages and cities with his show, while in Lulín, his birthplace, his faithfull wive Esther awaits. Yasha has two ambitions that obsses him: to perform in the Varsovia's Alhambra Theatre and to posses Emilia, a beautiful and arrogant countess.
