1948. Vera works as a nurse. Her active participation in the hospital's assembly brings attention and makes her being send to the Party's school. There she meets three comrade who are going to wield a strong influence over her personality: Mária, Anna and István. Among them complex interdependence and subordination relations are created, which will provoque in Vera sentiments of insecurity, fear and desires of making her own way by herself.
