Candelas is seduced by Arturo, who abandons her leaving her pregnant. The young woman meets two soldiers in maneuvers, Tiburcio Canales and the amateur singer Angelillo, who decide to help her by organizing a recital in the town. Five years later, Angelillo has opened a popular establishment where Candelas and Tiburcio work. Arturo, after leaving prison, tries to cheat again the mother of his daughter.
