A country in Latin America is governed by a dictator, benefactor for some, and a "dog" for others. Two prisoners are chased by a dog, which kills one, and the other, old professor, is returned to the prison, where he is interrogated about an alleged plot against the dictatorship. Arístides Ungría, political prisoner, manages to flee from the prison, catching up with the dog and being handcuffed by Zancho. Once again he manages to free himself and in his continuous flight, the dog pursues him implacably to the great city.
