Based on an anecdote, the film tells how and why Shirley Temple did not play The Wizard of Oz. Shirley arrives at the Emerald Country where the magician lives and is converted into a Shirley-Cinderella. Among parallel stories, the film presents a critique of the ghost myths created by the history of cinema.
