Robert de Niro (lead in the second part of The Godfather) plays here the role of a former Vietnam fighter who finds himself employed as a taxi driver on a night shift in New York. Through their experiences we are described the ambienre of the big city. In it, and at a certain time, the taxi driver will become the executor of a punitive action.
