SERIES CONFERENCE: WE ARE FAMILY
Family has for many years been a common storytelling tool in national television series. However, as society has evolved, its very definition has become increasingly diverse and plural. Both television and audiovisual streaming platforms have helped portray and disseminate transformations in family structures, as well as the new ways in which emotional bonds are formed today.
This conversation seeks to explore, on the one hand, how family relationships are currently portrayed compared with those of the 1990s; and, on the other, the influence these stories have on the collective imagination.

In 2025, she received ICAA funding for the writing of a screenplay for a feature film that is currently in development. Film and series critic, is a member of the La Cultureta talk show (Onda Cero). She is also a columnist for Fotogramas and a screenwriting professor at Carlos III University in Madrid..
Between 2014 and 2026, was a Executive Producer of original fiction productions at Movistar+, working on series such as La Mesías, Querer, Antidisturbios, Poquita fe, and Celeste, as well as films including Sirat, Sundays, and La bola negra. As a screenwriter, he has written the films One Year, One Night and Between Two Waters, and series such as Rapa, Apagón, and Anatomía de un instante.
She has appeared in more than 50 productions and received numerous awards, including two Silver Biznagas and the Best Performance Award at Canneseries. In 2021, she founded Funicular Films and created, directed, and starred in Esto no es Suecia. In 2026, she premieres Viva, which she directs and stars in.
Born in Lugo, Javier studied screenwriting at UC3M and fiction directing at EICTV (Cuba). He is the creator, screenwriter, and director of Mariliendre (Suma Content - Atresplayer), and has contributed to the writing of Vestidas de Azul and Las Vecinas, which is currently awaiting release and which he also directs.
