For two weeks in July, the three of them enjoyed a residency at the historical archive of the Festival, Artxiboa, where Aranzubia gathered material for his research into the influence of festivals on the film canon, paying special attention to El espíritu de la colmena / The Spirit of the Beehive (1973), Etxebeste analysed the retrospectives and visits of classic Hollywood filmmakers during Miguel de Echarri's time as festival director from 1967 to 1977, and Ruiz focused on the importance of the San Sebastián International Meeting of Educational, Scientific and Cultural Cinema and TV, established in 1965, which has contributed to the development of scientific and medical cinema.
