Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
The French film director, critic and writer Leos Carax, winner of awards at numerous competitions with titles such as Les amants du Pont-Neuf (1991), Holy Motors (2012) and Annette (2021), returns to San Sebastian with his latest work C'est pas moi / It's Not Me, which will compete in the Zabaltegi - Tabakalera section. A medium-length film in which the filmmaker reviews, in the form of a self-portrait, more than 40 years of filmography, while questioning the main stages of his life. In this conversation with filmmaker Elena López Riera, he will share with the audience different aspects of his approach to cinema.

Elena López Riera (Orihuela, Spain. 1982) presented her first short film Pueblo (2015) at the Quinzaine des Cinéastes in Cannes. Later, at Locarno, she premiered Las vísceras / The Entrails (2016) and Los que desean / Those Who Lust (Zabaltegi-Tabakalera, 2018), winner of the Pardino d'Oro for Best Swiss Short Film and nominated for the European Film Awards. El agua / The Water (Zabaltegi-Tabakalera, 2022), her debut feature, premiered at the Quinzaine des Cinéastes in Cannes and was selected for Ikusmira Berriak 2018, where it won the REC Grabaketa Estudioa Award, also winning the CNC Award from the Cannes Cinéfondation in 2019. She was a member of the Zabaltegi-Tabakalera jury in 2021. This year Las novias del sur / Southern Brides participated out of competition at the Semaine de la Critique in Cannes, where it landed the Queer Palm.
Leos Carax (Suresnes, France. 1960) made his debut with Boy Meets Girl (1984), winner of the Youth Award at Cannes. Next came Mauvais sang (1986), which bagged him the Alfred Bauer Prize in Berlin, Les amants du Pont-Neuf / The Lovers on the Bridge (1991), Pola X (1999), a competitor at Cannes, and one of the segments of the anthology film Tokyo! (2008). In 2012 he once again competed in Cannes with Holy Motors, landing the Youth Award. The film would go on to harvest the Best Film and Best Director Awards at the Sitges Festival. His latest feature, Annette (2021) garnered Best Director at Cannes and the César in the same category. The medium length C'est pas moi screened in the Cannes Premiere section.
