Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
A talk focused on the representation of transmasculinity in Ibero-American cinema, aiming to share opinions and ideas on how to build a safe and inclusive film industry. Taking the experiences of professionals from the Ibero-American industry as a starting point, the conversation will centre on the strategies and changes underway today to create more inclusive and fluid perspectives. It will explore how cinematic narratives offer new viewpoints, revisiting the past and exploring new references to imagine a more inclusive future.
Emilio Papamija is the Director of Research and Trans Representation at ODA, the Observatory of Diversity in Audiovisual Media. He is also a collaborator with Intimact, a pioneering entity in Spain for intimacy coordination, and an independent consultant on gender policies and subaltern pedagogies.
Do Bofill is a trans non-binary masculine person who works as an actor, casting director, and acting coach. They hold a degree in Arts with a specialization in theatrical acting from Universidad Finis Terrae in Santiago, Chile, and is a certified coach. Bofill has worked as an assistant casting director on projects such as As Bestas, Cerdita, La consagración de la primavera, among others, and as the casting director for Anekumen and Entró con un hacha, where they also worked as an acting coach.
Charli Bujosa Cortés (Palma, 1989). In 2019, they directed and produced Bubota, their first short film. In 2021, they founded the production company Mansalva Films, where they produced the animated short film Todo está perdido, nominated for a Goya in 2024, and the documentary Una zona ajardinada, which won at DocumentaMadrid in 2023.
Afioco Gnecco is an Italian-Chilean director and screenwriter. He won the Silver Biznaga at the Málaga Festival with his short film Ciao Bambina. He has just finished filming This Body of Mine, a documentary feature co-directed with Carolina Yuste, which explores trans masculinities.
