Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
Carole Scotta (Riom, France) founded Haut et Court in 1992. Over the past 30 years, films produced by Haut et Court have been selected and awarded at international film festivals. These include: Entre les murs / The Class (Laurent Cantet , Perlak, Palme d’Or at Cannes 2008), Coco avant Chanel / Coco Before Chanel (Anne Fontaine, Oscars and BAFTA Nominee in 2010), or La nuit du 12 / The Night of the 12th (Dominik Moll, Cannes Premiere 2022 and Winner of 7 César Awards including Best Film).
Haut et Court has also distributed more than 300 films such as Druk / Another Round (Thomas Vinterberg, Silver Shell for Best Actor to its group of actors at San Sebastian 2020), Hytti nro 6 / Compartment No. 6 (Juho Kuosmanen, 2021) or Perfect Days (Wim Wenders, Perlak, 2023).
In 2011, Haut et Court added a television department and has since produced series such as The Returned (International Emmy Awards for Best TV Series Award in 2013), No Man’s Land, Constellation, and Monsieur Spade and co-produced The Young Pope and The New Pope.
Since 2010, Haut et Court has diversified through the acquisition of art house theaters (27 screens) and through documentaries with the creation of Haut et Court Doc headed by Emmanuelle Lepers.
Carole is often participating in panels, and is copresident of Dire. Haut et Court is a member of the SPI, EPC, and Unifrance, and is a co-founding member of The Creatives, a federation of 10 international independent production companies.
