Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
Jaione Camborda (San Sebastian) studied at the Prague (FAMU) and Munich (HFF) film schools before moving to Galicia, where she founded the production company Esnatu Zinema and directed short films such as Proba de axilidade (2015), Nimbos (2015) and Rapa das bestas (2017). Her first feature film, Arima (2019), earned her the Best Director Award in the Nuevas Olas section of the Seville European Film Festival and the Escáner Award at the Márgenes Festival as well as screening in Made in Spain at San Sebastian.
She has participated in various labs, such as the TIFF Filmmaker Lab, La Incubadora – The Screen and Ikusmira Berriak, the residency for which she was selected in 2020 with the project for her second feature, O corno / The Rye Horn, winner in 2023 of the Golden Shell for Best Film at the San Sebastian Festival. The movie also bagged the Goya for Best New Actress (Janet Novás), among other accolades. Her films have shown in more than 60 countries and have participated in festivals including Toronto, BFI London and Busan.
