Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
Itziar Lazkano (Portugalete, Spain) began her career in 1980 as a founding member of the Karraka Theatre Group. She has performed in 30 theatre shows. In 1981 she took the leap into television with the programme La cometa blanca, and in 1987 made her movie debut with El amor de ahora (Ernesto del Rio).
She has participated in films such as Urte ilunak / Dark Years (Los años oscuros, Arantxa Lazkano, New Directors, 1992), La voz de su amo / His Master’s Voice (Emilio Martínez Lázaro, Made in Spanish, 2001), Aupa Etxebeste! (New Directors, 2005), Todos estamos invitados / We Are All Invited (Manuel Gutiérrez Aragón, 2008), Izarren argia (Mikel Rueda, New Directors, 2010) and Pikadero (Ben Sharrock, New Directors, 2015). She was recently nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Goya for her work in 20.000 especies de abejas / 20,000 Species of Bees (Estibaliz Urresola, Zinemira, 2023). For television she has worked in shows including Vaya Semanita and series like Estoy vivo, La víctima número 8 and Aída.
In theatre she has won the Ercilla Best New Actress Award in 1988 for Dulce Puta, the Rosa Agirre Best Actress Award in 1995 for Palabrarismos and the Jokularia Award in 2001 for Best Basque Actress.
This year she participates in the San Sebastian Festival as a member of the cast on the series Yo, adicto / I, Addict (Javier Giner, Elena Trapé), showing out of competition in the Official Selection.
