Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
Trained at the University of Cinema of Buenos Aires (FUC), Florencia Schapiro (Buenos Aires) is a visual arts professional boasting more than 20 years’ experience in the field of the creative industries.
From 2003 to 2009, she was Director of International Distribution at Coproduction Office, a production company for bold and award-winning films by authors including Carlos Reygadas, Ruben Östlund, Roy Andersson and Ulrich Seidl. Today, and for the last 5 years, she has been Creative Consultant for the Paris and Berlin offices.
For 6 years, she has been Head of the Content Department at KOLAPSE, a streaming platform fostering unique conversations between long-standing and emerging artists in the field of cinema, music, arts and literature through own productions (Patti Smith, Ernesto Neto, J.M. Coetzee, Fabián Casas and Adan Jodorowsky).
In 2010, she founded LATE-E, a film distribution company which promotes independent films combining audiovisual experiences with cultural disciplines in Argentina, Uruguay and Chile. LATE-E disembarked in Mexico in 2024, with the premiere of Alain Guiraudie’s Misericordia.
