Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
Vicky Luengo (Palma de Mallorca, Spain) has alternated cinema, theatre and television since starting to work as an actress at the age of 15.
She collected a Best Leading Actress Goya nomination for Suro (2022, Mikel Gurrea), a contender for the Golden Shell at San Sebastian Festival, where it garnered the FIPRESCI and Irizar Awards. The role earned Vicky Catalan cinema’s Gaudí Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role, for which she was also nominated for her work in Chavalas (Carol Rodriguez, 2021), thanks to which she bagged that year’s Ojo Crítico de Cine Award.
Particularly outstanding in television is her participation in the series Antidisturbios (Rodrigo Sorogoyen, 2020), shown out-of- competition in San Sebastian Festival’s Official Selection. Her role as this character was nominated for myriad accolades and won her, among others, the Fotogramas Award for Best TV Actress and the Ondas Award for Best Female Actor in a Fiction Role.
Worthy of mention among the 19 professional plays in which she has participated are her role in El Golem (2022) for which she picked up the Godot Award for Best Actress, and Una perra en un descampado (2019), for which she received the Critics’ Award for Best Actress.
