Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
Elisa Fernanda Pirir (Guatemala City) is a film producer from Guatemala, based in Norway. She has been working in international co-production and talent development for more than 7 years.
She has worked with several international directors, such as Thomas Arslan, Ciro Guerra, Cristina Gallego, Nabil Ayouch, Inadelso Cossa, César Díaz and Laura Mora, as well as some of Norway's most acclaimed directors.
She is a Berlinale Talents, Guadalajara Talents, EAVE, Rotterdam Lab and EWA alumna. In 2023, she was selected as Norwegian Producer on the Move in Cannes. She graduated from the Norwegian Film School with the student Oscar-nominated Generation Mars. She led her own talent development programme in Northern Norway and sits on the committee for short films and documentaries at the Arts Council Norway.
She has worked as an associate producer for films such as Pájaros de verano (Birds of Passage, Ciro Guerra, Cristina Gallego, Perlak), which had its official premiere at the Quinzaine des Cinéastes in Cannes 2018, Disco (Jorunn Myklebust Syversen, 2019), which screened in Toronto and participated in New Directors in San Sebastian, and Flee (Jonas Poher Rasmussen), an official selection contender at Cannes 2020; she worked as an associate and line producer for Gritt (Itonje Søimer Guttomsern), which competed in Rotterdam and received a Dragon Award nomination in 2021, and was a co-producer of Laura Mora’s Los reyes del mundo (The Kings of the World, 2022), winner of the Golden Shell at San Sebastian Festival, of Emilija Skarnulyte’s documentary feature Burial (2022), shown at Hotdocs, Visions du Réel and the Viennale, of Llamadas desde Moscú (Calls from Moscow, 2023), by Alejandro Yero, which participated in the Forum section of the Berlinale and at Hotdocs, and of Hypnosen (The Hypnosis, 2023), by Ernst de Geer.
Elisa is one of the founders and owners of the newly created Norwegian film production company, STÆR.
