Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
Lemohang Jeremiah Mosese (Hlotse, Lesotho) is a filmmaker and a visual artist. His feature-length, visual essay film Mother, I am Suffocating. This is My Last Film About You, was selected for Final Cut in Venice, winning six awards. It premiered at the Berlinale Forum in 2019 and continues to be showcased in film festivals and museums, including MoMA and BOZAR Brussels. Mosese was selected for the Biennale College Cinema with his second narrative feature film, This Is Not A Burial, It's A Resurrection, which won over 30 awards, including the Jury Award for Visionary Filmmaking at Sundance Film Festival 2020. His most recent works are the video installations NEW GOD, for the Humboldt Forum, and Bodies of Negroes: Sculpting God, included in the exhibition “Vive le cinéma!”, a co-production between the Eye Filmmuseum and Tabakalera, with the collaboration of the San Sebastian Festival, in which Dea Kulumbegashvili, Isaki Lacuesta and Jia Zhang-ke also participated. Mosese served as a juror for several film festivals, including Berlin, Rotterdam, and Locarno. He has been invited to be a guest lecturer for several institutions, such as Cambridge University and the Netherlands Film Academy.
