Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
Celia Rico (Seville, Spain. 1982) has degrees in Audiovisual Communication and in Theory of Literature and Compared Literature. After almost a decade dedicated to production, in 2012 she wrote and directed the short film Luisa no está en casa, with which she participated in the Orizzonti section of the Venice Festival, in the Seville European Film Festival and in Gijon Festival, among others. In 2013, she directed the second unit of the film No llores, vuela, by Claudia Llosa, which had its premiere at the Berlin Festival in 2014. Her debut film Viaje al cuarto de una madre (2018) participated in the Script Station of Berlinale Talents and had its premiere at the San Sebastian Festival, in the New Directors section, where she landed a Special Jury Mention and the Youth Award. Among other awards and nominations, she received the Best Film award in the New Visions section of the Santa Barbara Film Festival in California, four Goya nominations, and Best First Ibero-American Feature at the Platino Awards in 2019. She is currently busy writing the kids TV show Micronins and working on her second fictional film, Los pequeños amores, a project selected for the Torino Film Lab.
