The actors Javier Bardem and Carlos Bardem will present Sanctuary with its director, Álvaro Longoria. The only screening of the documentary will be on Thursday 26 at 16:00 at the Victoria Eugenia Theatre.
The film is about the media, scientific and political campaign to protect the planet’s last remaining pristine area: the Antarctic. We accompany the Bardem brothers who, as spokesmen for the Antarctic Sanctuary campaign, are using all the necessary tools at their disposal to obtain massive popular support for this Greenpeace campaign. We will witness how science, politics and social media come together to mobilize almost 3 million people to support this initiative which ultimately depends on a political decision.
