The 67th edition of the San Sebastian Festival will present a selection of films especially chosen with an audience of children in mind.
The section consists of six animated films: the sequel of the box office hit about the Lego universe, The Lego Movie 2; the European production The Son of Bigfoot; the latest title from the Aardman Factory Early Man, directed by the four-time Academy Award winner Nick Park; the new adventure of Asterix, the Secret of the Magic Potion; the Danish film The Incredible Story of the Giant Pear; and the Islandic and Belgian production Ploey, winner of the best film award at the Kristiansand International Children’s Film Festival (Norway).
On weekends during the Festival a number of screenings will be programmed for a family audience in different cinemas throughout the city. All of the films will be dubbed into Basque, thanks to the collaboration of Zineuskadi in the framework of the programme Zinema euskaraz. For three decades the San Sebastian Festival has been bringing the cinema to the youngest amongst us thanks to its Movies for Kids section, composed of films dubbed into Basque especially devised for the new generations of spectators.
