Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).

Films can now be submitted for pre-selection to participate in the 67th edition of the San Sebastian Festival for all of the sections making up the programme, with the exception of Films in Progress, Glocal in Progress and Nest Film Students, which will have their own specific calls for submissions in the months of April and June respectively. Films for these sections should therefore NOT be submitted at the present time.
This year, for the first time, throughout the registration form it will be asked for an indication of the gender of some of the people who participate in the film in different positions, thereby fulfilling one of the commitments acquired by the Festival, on signing the “Charter for Parity and Inclusion of Women in Cinema” in September 2018, to compile statistics broken down by gender, including those referring to the number of films submitted for selection, as well as to those selected and programmed, in order to obtain reliable and real data on the presence of projects participated by women.
Feature films submitted for pre-selection will be accepted until 24 June 2019, with the exception of Culinary Zinema, whose submission deadline is June 14th.
