Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
Sara Hernández Askasibar is a graduate in Business Administration and Management (University of the Basque Country, 2016), specialising in Analytical Marketing (2018), and her degree project is on the subject of Big Data in the audiovisual sector.
While studying, she started to train in audiovisual subjects, with periods at the University of California (UCLA, Los Angeles), where she studied Cinematography and Film/Video Production, before finally landing at San Sebastian’s Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola (EQZE), becoming a student in its opening year and specifically completing the post-graduate course in Film Curating. In this framework, as part of a group, she has curated the III Video Art Exhibition Otras luces/Bestelako argiak (Other Lights) in Pamplona and she currently collaborates on the research project Zinemaldia 70: All possible stories.
As far as work is concerned, she joined the San Sebastian Film Festival, where she worked on documentation and film administration tasks during the 2015, 2016 and 2017 editions, also collaborating during those two last years in the Nest Film Students programme.
She is currently the coordinator of the Audiovisual Programme at Tabakalera - International Centre for Contemporary Culture, which she joined in 2017. She also collaborates weekly as a critic with the digital platform dedicated to the cinema Zinea.eus.
