Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
Described by Antonio Banderas as having the prettiest smile in Spanish cinema, Paz Vega was in San Sebastián yesterday to receive the Jaeger-LeCoultre Latin Cinema Award. It’s an honour that she’s really thrilled about as she has a lot of professional and sentimental ties to the continent.
Despite having worked with directors like Medem, Almodóvar, Aranda and James L. Brooks in a wide variety of films on both sides of the Atlantic, she confesses that she still gets nervous about each project just like at the beginning of her career.
Having initially established her reputation on television, it’s no surprise that she’s an enthusiastic champion of the medium. She really appreciates the fact that the Festival even includes television series in competitive sections. “I’d love to come back to San Sebastian to present a new project, and this could be a film or …a series!”
