Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
Edgard Tenembaum was born in Rosario, Argentina, and lives in Paris, where he began producing creative documentaries and continued developing his career as a producer of fiction. With Gérard Lacroix, his associate in creating the company Tu Vas Voir, he has produced titles including Assi Dayan’s The 92 Minutes of Mr. Baum, Dover Kosashvili’s Late Marriage (International Cannes Festival, 2001), Damien Odoul’s Le Souffle (International Venice Festival, 2001), and Walter Salles’ Diarios de Motocicleta (The Motorcycle Diaries, International Cannes Festival, 2004), among others.
Outstanding among his recent titles are Sport (2015) and Water (opening film of the Critics’ Week at the International Venice Festival in 2012), Palestinian-Israeli co-production with the initiative of Yael Perlov and Ahmad Barghouti; Damien Odoul’s La Peur (France, Prix Jean Vigo 2015), Pavel Giroud’s El acompañante (The Companion, Cuba-Colombia-Venezuela-France, 2015); Hugo Santiago’s El Cielo del Centauro (Le ciel du centaur, Argentina-France, 2015) and Jayro Bustamante’s Ixcanul (Guatemala-France, Silver Bear-Alfred Bauer Prize at the International Berlin Festival, 2015).
Always maintaining his close ties with Latin America, with which he has collaborated on many occasions, he also produces French, Israeli and Palestinian projects.
