Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
María Mur Dean (Pamplona, 1977) graduated in Sociology and Political Sciences at Deusto University (Bilbao). Today she directs the production company of contemporary art, consonni (www.consonni.org) in Bilbao. She has worked at consonni since 1999, inviting important artists (Matthieu Laurette, Andrea Fraser, Sergio Prego, Ibon Aranberri, Itziar Okariz, Saioa Olmo, Iratxe Jaio & Klaas van Gorkum, Virginia Villaplana, Superflex, María Ruido, Cabello/Carceller, etc.) to develop projects that do not generally take on the appearance of an art object shown within an exhibition space, but borrow the tools they use from the contemporary.
The art projects come in very different formats, such as a television programme, an auction of Basque typographies, guided tours of an abandoned amusement park and a march of the zombies to subvert, criticise or simply analyse the society they belong to.
Since 2009, consonni has an editorial line which experiments with the notion of editing and publishes books in three collections.
Mur is also the co-founder of the feminist and art collective, Pripublikarrak (2005-2009) and participates in numerous investigations into cultural policies. She uses the written and spoken word in its different formats, contributing to different debates on contemporary production and the potential of art for creating public sphere.
