Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).
Rafael Berrio (San Sebastián, 1964). Composer, singer and guitarist. Essential figure on the San Sebastián music scene. Formed his first group in 1980 under the influence of the "New Wave". In the next decade he recorded two LPs for the Warner label with the group Amor a Traición. A change of formation in the early 21st century brought another two albums in the name of Deriva, accompanied by tours of rock-clubs throughout the Basque Country and Spain.
By now in his own name, in 2011 and 2013 he recorded the respective 1971 and Diarios, both produced by Joserra Senperena and unanimously acclaimed by specialised critics.
Has also participated in numerous artistic projects, including the Experimento Lieder, with figures such as Diego Vasallo and Suso Saiz, and in shows like Phantasma with the artist Musergo, or the so-called Variations in collaboration with the poet Roger Wolfe.
Berrio is currently putting the final touches to his new repertoire, expected to see the light in spring 2015.
