Z365" or "Festival all year round" is the new strategic point of the Festival in which converge investigation, accompaniment and development of new talents (Ikusmira Berriak, Nest); training and cinematic knowledge transfer (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, Zinemaldia + Plus, Filmmakers' dialogue); and investigation, disclosure and cinematic thought (Z70 project, Thought and Discussion and Research and publications).

Once again theVelodrome will become a giant cinema during the Festival with seating for 3000 spectators. This year, it will be the venue for the premieres of three films: Paul W.S. Anderson’s The Three Musketeers, to be screened in 3D; Eduardo Chapero-Jackson’s fantasy/ urban culture hybrid Verbo; and the animated feature Une vie de chat, by Jean-Loup Felicioli and Alan Gagnol.
As usual, every morning the Velodrome will host a screening for children as part of the established programme for local primary and s econdary schools.This year,kids at these sessions will be able to enjoy Une vie de chat, dobbed into Basque and Spanish.
The Velodrome will also be hosting the closing session which will include a broadcast of the closing gala, the screening of the Official Selection closing film, Intouchables,by Eric Toledano and Olivier Nakache, and the film closing Zabaltegi-Pearls: Nicolas Winding Refn’s Drive.
As well as all this, the closing session this year will also feature a screening of a restored copy of Georges Méliès’s pioneering classic Le voyage dans la lune (1902).
