Synopsis
Pictures
A group of girls live in a boarding school. Obedience is mandatory and any pupil trying to escape will be condemned not only to serve the others but to stay at the school forever. Hidden by foliage, a metal fireplace opens onto underground passageways leading to the basements of five houses standing in different parts of a sprawling park, cut off from the outside world by an enormous wall with no doors. In one of these houses, several of the girls gather round a coffin. Innocence won the New Directors Award at San Sebastian in 2004.
